Korra Speculations!
Oh holy crapping wow! Amazing episode. Bravo Bryke, bravo.
OK so, after I watedh ep 7 I totally thought that Korra will learn blood bending because it’s the only bending that Amon can’t dodge. Well, wasn’t I pleasantly surprised when a little BB action came along! And his eyes went all fury when she compared him to Amon, that could mean one of two things. Either he is totally delusional and thinks he’s actually helping Republic City by being the next steam punk Hitler, or he is/very close to Amon. So I thought about this theory.
Taarlok as Amon works because Amon represents a very real and present danger within the city that can be used to institute a martial law, which is being implemented presently, and provides a possible explanation to Amon’s unique and unexplained method of removing people’s bending. Possibly by disrupting the flow of blood or changing/blocking the flow of chi through blood. He would then only need to give the impression that his power can only be done through touch so as to provide a surprise advantage in a tight situation.
That’s my two cents.
I hope Tarrlok has to use a computer at the library and all they have is Internet Explorer.
